At Good Shepherd we believe that God is calling men to be the protectors & providers of their homes as well as the spiritual leaders of their families. This is accomplished when men get a right relationship with God & walk in integrity.
This is a Ministry area that has great potential for growth at Good Shepherd. We seek to have the men of the congregation be:
Committed to worship, the Word and prayer.
Committed to building strong marriages and families through love, protection, and biblical values.
Committed to sharing the gospel through word and deed.
Committed to supporting the local church by giving of his time, talents, and resources.
Committed to supporting and praying for his pastor.
Committed to moral, ethical and spiritual purity.
Committed to building Christ-centered relationships with a other men.
The 21+ Men's Club meets once a month for a luncheon at a local restaurant from September through June; wives are invited twice a year in June and November. Social in nature, the lunch discussions revolve around things happening at church and while we meet in a non-church environment we are able to give public witness to our faith as we open and close with prayer.
We are interested in initiating a Men's Breakfast Ministry especially to help fathers grow their faith so as to provide a healthy family environments for their children. This ministry could easily extend to neighboring congregations as an opportunity for shared ministry. If you are interested in a challenge to help develop this ministry speak to use the Contact Form on the Staff and Contact Information page.
